Why I Love Spontaneous Photography

Some of my favorite images were never planned. A glance caught in between poses. A child’s giggle when no one was watching.
A shift in light that changed everything.

Spontaneity is honesty. It’s the moment before we become self-conscious. It’s where the soul shows up; unannounced, unrehearsed.

There’s a kind of sacredness in the unscripted. You can’t direct it. You can only notice it. You can only stay open enough, soft enough, to receive it.

It’s in these in-between moments that people reveal themselves. Not in the pose, but in the pause.

And that’s what I live for. Not perfection, not performance, but presence.
